Whenever you see hummingbirds on one of my canvases, know that I was thinking of my grandparents when I was painting.
Remembering a time long ago when I would sit in my grandparent's kitchen watching the hummingbirds come visit the birdfeeder outside the kitchen window. The flutter and darting motion of their wings and little bodies would keep me entertained for precious moments.
What I would do for a day back in that kitchen watching the hummingbirds dance together again.
